Our first 3 peaks training session took place on Sunday 20th January. We walked from the Army Camp in Okehampton to Yes Tor and High Willhays in Bitter Bitter cold as you can see from these pics!

We have decided to do the 3 Peaks Mountain Challenge to raise money for Devon Air Ambulance!
The Challenge involves climbing Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon (that’s the highest mountains in Scotland, England and Wales) – all within 24 hours!!!!!
Serious training starts now as we are scheduled to complete the event over the weekend of 18th and 19th May 2013. Our team consists of Simon, Jackie, Tam, Zoe, Sandra and Sam. We are going with a professional guide who will arrange our transport between the mountains and ensure we take the correct routes on each mountain safely and we have all paid our own expenses so every penny we raise via sponsorship will go to Devon Air Ambulance.

Happy Christmas and best wishes for a healthy and prosperous 2013 from everyone at Chagford Dental Practice!
After much discussion we have decided to do the 3 peaks challenge and we are asking everyone who knows us – patients, non-patients, suppliers, family and friends to dig deep in their pockets to sponsor us! We are raising money for Devon Air Ambulance in 2013.
If you don’t know already, this challenge is all about climbing the 3 highest mountains in the UK within a 24 hour period – that’s Ben Nevis in Scotland, Scafell Pike in Cumbria and Snowdon in Wales. YIKES!!
So our training starts in January – Simon, Jackie, Tam, Sandra and Zoe are our intrepid team and will be joined by Sam Hill who left the practice a couple of years ago to have a baby but is keen to be a part of this amazing trip.
Sponsorship forms and a ‘justgiving’ page will all be available in the New Year. In the meantime we will relax a bit and not worry about training over the Christmas period!!

We are truly fed up with it. At least it’s warm and cosy in the practice though!
November 2012 is Mouth Cancer Action Month.
We are holding an open morning on Wednesday 14th November when anyone can call into the practice for a FREE, No Obligation mouth cancer screening with Dr Sally Button or Dr Simon Channing.
